CONSTRUCTING A GOMA-DO
With the blessings of Gozen-sama of Mt. Hiei in Japan, I will set about to construct a small temple appropriate for the burning of the sacred fire, the “goma,” and the building is then a “goma-do.”
The first step (from Oct 2002) is to find and purchase a plot of land somewhere in the mountains, hopefully in Northern California, but if not, then at least within the states from the Rocky Mountains west. This step may take 1-2 years.
The next step will be to draw up building plans and get them approved by government agencies.
Any advice or help that anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.
